1. Squeeze Hand Yo Yo Ball Toy - Sold at selected Toymate Stores between Sep 2021 & Oct 2023

Supplier Item Number: SQUEEZE.H

Defect: There is a permanent ban on yo-yo water balls (and similar products). This product has an elastic/silicone cord which extends further than the maximum allowed length of 500mm set by the ban.

Hazard: There is a risk of death or serious injury from strangulation. The cord can stretch and wind around a child’s neck, especially if swung around the head.

Action Required: Consumers should stop using the toy immediately and cut the cord. Return to the place of purchase for a full refund.

2. Intex Dinosaur Play Centre Portable Pool - Sold at selected Toymate Stores between Apr 2022 & Nov 2022

SKU: 18005170

Supplier Item Number: 57444NP

Defect: The Dinosaur Play Centre does not comply with the labelling requirements of the mandatory standard for portable swimming pools. It does not comply with the 3 metres warning legibility requirement.

Hazard: Inflatable pools without the correct safety warning labelling may be used incorrectly. There is an increased risk of drowning if the product is not used as intended.

Action Required: Consumers should stop using the pool immediately and return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

3. Hasbro Elefun Flyers - Sold at selected Toymate Stores between September 2021 & January 2022

Supplier Item Number: 1695

Defect: The butterfly flyers may strike a child in the face.

Hazard: There is a risk of facial injury (skin abrasions or bruising) to children.

Action Required: Toymate customers should return the product to one of our stores for a full refund.

4. ELC Little Senses Lights & Sounds Shape Sorter - Sold at selected Toymate Stores between Dec 2021 & July 2022

SKU: 21002621

Supplier Item Number: 145795

Defect: The product's red sorting cube, which has a clear top, may break, releasing a small ball. The product may not comply with the size requirements of the mandatory standard for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age.

Hazard: If released the small ball may pose a choking hazard for young children, which can lead to severe injury or death.

Action Required: Consumers should immediately remove the red cube from the product and safely dispose of this part only. Consumers should then contact Modern Brands to request a replacement cube, free of charge.

5. Little Tikes 3-in-1 Activity Walker - Sold at Toymate Stores between  October 2020 & June 2022

SKU: 19503708

AFFECTED BATCH NUMBERS: V40J09H, V40J271 & V40K271H

Defect: In some circumstances locking pins to keep the A-frame shape of the walker in place may disengage

Hazard: If the defect occurs whilst in use the walker can collapse causing the child to fall

Action Required: Customers should check their walker for the batch number found on the underside of the walker close to the battery compartment

6. Captain Glo 26 Letter EVA Puzzle Mat - Sold at Toymate Stores between  10th October 2020 & 7th October 2021

SKU: 20204420 / 20170224-24

Defect: The product did not have a mandatory warning label that it was not suitable for children under 3 years and failed the testing for that age group

Hazard: The correct safety warnings were not provided and as such the product may be a risk to the user, especially those under 3 years of age.

Action Required: Consumers should stop using the product and contact their nearest Toymate store to return the product and receive a refund. Alternatively, you can contact us directly for assistance

7. Baby's First Luv Dolls - Sold at Toymate Stores in 2019 & 2020

SKU: 19500569 / 11850

Defect: The dummy attached to this product has an opening at the rear of the teat which does not permit a suitable cleaning brush to penetrate all inner parts of the teat to enable the teat to be completely cleaned and sterilised. The pack also does not include specific instructions as to how the dummy is to be completely cleaned and sterilised. The safety warning is missing from the packaging of the product and as such may be a risk to the user.

Hazard:Your child could become sick from the unsterilised dummy. The correct safety warnings were not provided and as such the product may be a risk to the user.

Action Required: If purchased at a Toymate store between October 2020 and December 2020 consumers should immediately cease using the product and return it to their nearest Toymate store for a full refund or exchange for a different product.
